Bullseye was born out of a desire to boil down d20 to it’s purest essence, stripping away all of the subsystems found in, say, Dungeons & Dragons. It was the logical next step in moving from my d20 work to Passages. I also did some experimenting with the form of rpg rules presentation, seeking something more along the lines of a technical manual. I’m most pleased with this aspect, including a neat bit of tech where random die results appeared on each page, allowing you to play without dice. I presented the first iteration of the rules as an ashcan at Gen Con in 2008.
