Back in the glory days of Story Games (the forums), there was a period of time where designers engaged in duels as a form of design exercise, each coming up with a game from a unique set of parameters. I engaged in just such a duel with Adam Rappold. Our ingredients were: the film noir genre, a musical scale as a mechanic, and travel as a theme. Macguffin was the end result. It’s a weird little game. We also did a fun episode of Master Plan about it with Ryan Macklin.
